Product Features and Details
Prototype: When it comes to modeling European trains one of the more popular time periods to model is Era II. Era II is desirable because it deals with the beginning of enovations in steam, like turbines, condensor locomotives etc. The German State Railways is among the most exciting railways to model in this time period because they incorporated many unique and impressive steam locomotives. The BR 98 was built in 1880 by J. A. München and it was designed to be used on small local branch-lines hauling both local passenger service and light branch-line freight.
Model: The BR 98 might just be the most attractive little tank loco ever made! We saw this model in February at the toy fair and words cannot describe its beauty. The Era I Bavarian version at the top of the page is the most exquisite. It is highly detailed, colorful, and the number of separately applied parts are truly amazing. We already received a large amount of reservations for the DVI so order yours soon before they sell out! Model will be equipped with a brush-less can motor with flywheel, full cab interior, spring loaded buffers and extensive outer detail. We expect delivery sometime Spring of 2005.
